Matchmaking
On-event
Mobile phone
The mobile phone will play an important role in matchmaking during the event, enabling you to contact people via your telephone. Scanning another delegate’s badge tag with your phone will automatically link you to this individual through the WCIT 2010 matchmaking network. All delegates you connect with will automatically be saved on the network. This will allow you to collate all information online and you won't have to walk around with 50 or more business cards.
Face-to-face
To begin with, WCIT 2010 offers matchmakers. These individuals will walk around the venue and can help you make your business requirements and offerings visible to all other delegates on the dedicated website. The matchmakers can also give you on-the-spot help in expanding your delegate profile. This will enable other delegates to find you more easily. Obviously, this service is entirely voluntary and information can only be accessed by other delegates.
WCIT 2010 also facilitates face-to-face sessions during the event. During these sessions, business requirements and offerings will be matched by ‘track’ (e.g. energy, water, etc.) or by country. Partners involved in these tracks and countries will be present to respond to the business requirements and offerings of delegates.
These face-to-face sessions are an integral part of the WCIT 2010 program and will be announced in the conference booklet.
WCIT 2010 matchmaking network
The network will be online and accessible 24/7. All connections made by telephone will be synchronized with this online network.
