HRH The Prince of Orange and EU Commissioner Kroes to attend World IT Congress in Amsterdam
Apr. 15, 2010Amsterdam, April 15th 2010 – The organization of the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT 2010) in Amsterdam anticipates a high level of international interest in this conference, which will be held between May 25th and 27th. Delegates will hear speeches by approximately 200 leading international government, business and industry and academic representatives. It was announced today that two prominent public figures from the Netherlands will also attend: His Royal Highness The Prince of Orange and Mrs Neelie Kroes, European Commissioner for the Digital Agenda.

Oct. 2, 2009The Hague (The Netherlands), October 2nd, 2009 – Today Mr. Frank Heemskerk, the Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade, formally announced the participation of the European Commission in WITSA’s 17th World Congress on IT in 2010.

May. 21, 2009Kuala Lumpur, 21th May - At the last day of WCIT 2008 in Kuala Lumpur, Dutch State Secretary Frank Heemskerk, ICT~Office chairman Henk Broeders and Amsterdam alderman Lodewijk Asscher symbolically took over the WCIT chairmanship from the Malaysians.
